A group of us have completed a series of meeting questioning the Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservative Bradford East candidates for the upcoming election on the 7th of May. We asked questions on Education, A Level Punjabi, 1984, Grooming, “Asian” label and others. Please see the responses below.
The General Election is an important election to go and vote it. Please use your vote wisely.
For those those who live in Shipley (Wrose area) or Pudsey – should you wish to know what your candidates stand for, please let me know. Personally I’ve worked with both Phillip Davies from Shipley and Stuart Andrews from Pudsey as sitting Conservative MPs and they have been great at speaking up in parliament for issues important to us – including the labeling of halal meat, the extension of the dastar legislation allowing us to wear our dastar’s on motorbikes, raising the 1984 questions to the Foreign Office and putting pressure on for answers, and they are great at responding to e-mails and letters or arranging meetings to speak on issues face-to-face.
If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to e-mail back or phone me. Happy to speak constructively on any topics.
